This year's Learning Festival will be to create awareness amongst members of the community on the latest technology and how their lives will be impacted in future.

The event expects 5,000 visitors.
Venue: Tampines Hub
Time: 10am - 4pm

40 Volunteers will be tasked to the running of the event. You will be allocated to the various activity stations as docents at the event to guide and explain to the visitors of the activities.

Kindly also indicate your t-shirt size as all volunteers will be given the LF2017 t-shirt.

Officer-in-charge will contact you in advance for a briefing.

We would like to extend the invitation to MENDAKI’s Volunteer to volunteer for Orange Ribbon Walk 2017, organised by OnePeople.sg.

Orange Ribbon Walk – Rise Against Racism is an annual signature event which aims to foster racial and religious harmony. The Orange Ribbon symbolizes friendship, brotherhood and kinship underpinned by values of respect and understanding. Critical to Singapore’s economic success is the strong foundation of peace and harmony among our multi-racial and multi-religious communities. OnePeople.sg, as the ground-up national body for racial harmony, drives this message each year with the Orange Ribbon Walk. As part of our 10th year anniversary celebrations, join us and help us promote the cause. We are looking for racial harmony champions help make the this a success! Join us as a volunteer.

Details of The Orange Ribbon Walk 2017 – Rise Against Racism are as follows:

Location: Esplanade Park
Date: Saturday 11 November 2017
Time: 6pm to 10pm

Volunteers are needed for the following:

1. Race Entry Pack Collection (REPC) Day where participants collect their event tee and bag (About 20 volunteers are required to help on two shifts /per day/per shift)

2. Event Day Volunteers

Chingay 2018 is the largest street performance and float parade in Asia. From the main parade site to the heartlands, this street extravaganza epitomises the dynamism of Singapore's vibrant and multicultural society.

Come join in to experience the fun of interacting with other volunteers from different walks of life and be part of this national parade.

There are various volunteer opportunities available:

1. Liaison Officer
- manage arrival & departure of performers & organised groups by chartered buses
- manage buses & ensure orderliness at various coach reporting areas

2. Crowd Management Volunteer
- provide directions & information to members of public
- facilitate orderly arrival & dispersal of crowd before & after parade
- facilitate movement of performers in & out of parade area
- facilitate movement of invited guests

3. General Hospitality Volunteer
- check tickets & usher guests to designated seats
- interact with guests & excite them to have fun
- answer general queries from guests
- distribute goodie bags/collaterals

4. Hospitality Ambassador (Motivator)
- hype up atmosphere & engage audience before, during & after parade
- teach audience songs, cheers & actions used during parade
- lead audience to participate certain segments of parade

We are looking for volunteers whom meet the following criteria, to be part of KidSTART program - Henderson, Taman Jurong, Jalan Kukoh, Spooner Road, MacPherson

• 21 years old and above
• Comfortable to translate information from English Language to Malay Language during conversations with parents
• Someone who loves being with toddlers

Objective: Educate parents on developmental activities that they can do with their kids.
Possible roles may include:
• Assist to conversationally translate information from English language to Mother Tongue language

This opportunity is on a weekly basis from 7 - 10 weeks.
